The State of Mexico has achieved an important milestone in the fight against the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), reaching first place nationwide in the undetectability of this virus, with a percentage of 94%. This achievement is the result of the joint effort of a multidisciplinary team of health professionals, including doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, pharmacists, and administrative personnel.
Rodrigo Rodríguez Briseño, Health Coordinator of the State Health Institute of Mexico (ISEM), representing the Ministry of Health led by Macarena Montoya Olvera, emphasized that this achievement is a testament to the collective commitment to excellence in patient care and the promotion of a dignified life. At the ceremony honoring the treating doctors of patients living with HIV, he expressed his gratitude to all those involved in this success and highlighted that accompanying patients on their journey to a fulfilling life is an immense privilege.
The recognized doctors at this ceremony are Sonia Echeverri Frías, Maribel Estrada Garrido, Claudia Saldívar Galindo, Luis Gustavo Cruz González, Arely Yosselyn Rojas Olmos, Ricardo Suárez Pineda, Alia Rosaura Montes de Oca Yemba, Jessica Rocío Álvarez Ramírez, Ana Cristina Navarrete Ángeles, and Janette Adriana López Mercado.
